I'd have given it a much higher rating if possible.

I have read trilogies before but none where the second and third books were just as impossible to put down as the first. Ms. Elza knows how to interweave plots and keep the secrets and surprises coming full blast right to the end!! I loved the way faith in and worshiping God were main factors in the families' lives. I also loved the way she had the mix of not only races but different cultural groups woven into the family life. I recommend these books to everyone. Thank you, Ms. Elza. I hope to find more of your books soon.

I have truly enjoyed the first book of the Appalachian Trilogy! I will start the second book today!

 

 

 

 

I really enjoyed book 1 of this trilogy. I don't want to spoil it for others who will read this book so I'll just add that if you read this book you will not be disappointed

I love this series because I am from the area that was written about. It takes me back to Ky and the people and places mentioned in her books. I can see the places in my mind and visualize all the characters. To me, it was a page turner and the author is very good at describing not only the people,but also the area and tragedies which occurred. I recommend this series to anyone.
